Public roads cross these legitimately. Stay on established tracks and leave no damage. Reserved forest is the least restrictive designation and public roads run through it legitimately. Riding through is not in itself an offence — but doing anything that harms or degrades the forest is, and the fine is mandatory rather than capped. Any act tending to harm or degrade the forest: 6 months to 5 years' imprisonment and a fine of ฿5,000 to ฿50,000 — both, not either (s.31). Where the damage is to a river source, that rises to 2 to 15 years and ฿20,000 to ฿150,000 (s.31). Your bike can be forfeited under s.35 whether or not you own it.

About this route
A ride from Mae Sariang through the national park to the abandoned border police station at Tha Ta Fang. A beautiful ride through the national park (be cautious of closures) and through remote Karen villages. A must ride trail.
Trail conditions change — always confirm locally before riding, and never ride alone.
